Possible role of the botulinum toxin in the management of neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome: a systematic review
CONCLUSIONS: There is no evidence for considering BTX injection as a validated tool for the management of NTOS. There might be a slight effect on symptoms, but outcomes are very variable, which prevents further interpretations. The use of BTX should be evaluated in larger prospective cohorts with more standardized outcomes.PMID:37737048 | DOI:10.23736/S1973-9087.23.07815-2 (Source: European Journal of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine)

We appreciate the letter from Schropp et  al regarding our recent study on venous thoracic outlet syndrome (VTOS).1 Although the authors suggest a potential selection bias in our treatment of patients with upper extremity deep vein thrombosis (UEDVT), our approach to the recognition of VTOS is clearly stated in the article: “VTOS should be suspected with the presentation of any otherwise young healthy person with abrupt spontaneous arm swelling, with or without cyanotic discoloration, in the absence of a known central venous catheter, pacemaker, recent arm injury, malignancy, thromboembolic disorder, or history of DVT.â...

Severe selection bias in deemed venous thoracic outlet syndrome-associated upper extremity deep venous thrombosis research
Dadashazadeh and colleagues claim an important place for prompt and aggressive invasive treatment in the management of venous thoracic outlet syndrome (VTOS)-associated primary upper extremity deep venous thrombosis (pUEDVT). Although this approach may be the most appropriate in some cases, there are some important notes to stipulate.1 (Source: Journal of Vascular Surgery)

Venous thoracic outlet syndrome, as a pitfall for cardiac implantable electronic device implantations
We present a unique case of a device infection in a patient with venous TOS. A careful observation of the imaging studies is vital for diagnosing venous TOS and a leadless pacemaker implantation could be an alternative therapeutic option. (Source: Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology : PACE)
