EDAP submits FDA 510(k) for Ablatherm Fusion HIFU device
Edap (NSDQ:EDAP) said this week it submitted an FDA 510(k) application for its next-gen Ablaterm Fusion device. (Acoustical Society of America) In passive elastography, the elasticity of tissue is measured using the body's own propagation of shear waves, which enables more effective imaging deeper inside the body in an even more noninvasive way than traditional elastography and may be used for cancer detection. France and Germany this week dismissed rumors that they would split the EU banking and medicines agencies between the 2 countries as the groups are relocated out of London due to the Brexit. Rumors emerged from the German Magazine WirtschaftsWoche this week that the countries, being the 2 largest in the EU, would split the agencies, with the EBA going to Frankfurt and the EMA to Lille.
