Influences of Daily Life Habits on Risk Factors of Stroke Based on Decision Tree and Correlation Matrix.
Conclusions: Establishment of a model for stroke risk assessment, analysis of factors influencing risk factors of stroke, analysis of relationships among those factors, and derivation of knowledge-based rules are helpful for prevention and treatment of stroke. PMID: 32565878 [PubMed - in process]

Risk Factors of Recurrent Stroke in Young and Middle-Aged Stroke Patients after Interventional Therapy
CONCLUSION: Blood glucose, blood lipid, blood pressure, age, and living habits have an impact on recurrent stroke in young and middle-aged patients after interventional therapy. Therefore, while strictly controlling blood glucose, blood lipid, and blood pressure, patients should improve their living habits and enhance the awareness of prevention after interventional therapy.PMID:35509854 | PMC:PMC9061004 | DOI:10.1155/2022/5728991

Risk Factors and Risk Model Construction of Stroke in Patients with Vertigo in Emergency Department
CONCLUSIONS: Age ≥ 60 years old, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, previous history of vertigo or inner ear disease, focal muscle weakness, dysphagia, or ataxia were associated with a higher risk of stroke. The risk model constructed based on our findings may help to assess the risk of stroke in patients with vertigo in the emergency department.PMID:35633924 | PMC:PMC9142295 | DOI:10.1155/2022/2968044

Abnormal EEG Complexity and Functional Connectivity of Brain in Patients with Acute Thalamic Ischemic Stroke.
Authors: Liu S, Guo J, Meng J, Wang Z, Yao Y, Yang J, Qi H, Ming D Abstract Ischemic thalamus stroke has become a serious cardiovascular and cerebral disease in recent years. To date the existing researches mostly concentrated on the power spectral density (PSD) in several frequency bands. In this paper, we investigated the nonlinear features of EEG and brain functional connectivity in patients with acute thalamic ischemic stroke and healthy subjects. Electroencephalography (EEG) in resting condition with eyes closed was recorded for 12 stroke patients and 11 healthy subjects as control group. Lempel-Ziv complexity...

Comparing Strategies to Prevent Stroke and Ischemic Heart Disease in the Tunisian Population: Markov Modeling Approach Using a Comprehensive Sensitivity Analysis Algorithm.
Conclusions: The primary prevention of cardiovascular disease via a reduction in dietary salt consumption appeared much more effective than secondary or tertiary prevention approaches. Our simple but comprehensive model offers a potentially attractive methodological approach that might now be extended and replicated in other contexts and populations. Evaluation Algorithm for the Effectiveness of Stroke Rehabilitation Treatment Using Cross-Modal Deep Learning
Comput Math Methods Med. 2022 Apr 27;2022:5435207. doi: 10.1155/2022/5435207. eCollection 2022.ABSTRACTIt is important to study the evaluation algorithm for the stroke rehabilitation treatment effect to make accurate evaluation and optimize the stroke disease treatment plan according to the evaluation results. To address the problems of poor restoration effect of positron emission tomography (PET) image and recognition restoration effect of evaluation data and so on. In the paper, we propose a stroke rehabilitation treatment effect evaluation algorithm based on cross-modal deep learning. Magnetic resonance images (MRI) and...

A Poincare Map Based Analysis of Stroke Patients' Walking after a Rehabilitation by a Robot.
Abstract Since the past decade, rehabilitation robots have become common technologies for recovering gait ability after a stroke. Nevertheless, it is believed that these robots can be further enhanced. Hence, several researches are making progress in optimizing gait rehabilitation robots. However, most of these researches have only assessed the robots and their controllers in improving spatiotemporal and kinetic features of walking. There are not many researchers have focused on the robots' controllers' effects on the central nervous or neuromuscular systems. On the other hand, recently computational methods have ...
