Simvastatin, but Not Atorvastatin, Is Associated with Higher Peak Rivaroxaban Serum Levels and Bleeding: an Asian Cohort Study from Singapore
ConclusionOur findings suggest that concomitant use of simvastatin with rivaroxaban may be associated with bleeding events in an Asian cohort. Further studies using physiologically based pharmacokinetic modelling are required to investigate the drug-drug interactions between these drugs.

PrevAleNce and Associated factors of inappropriaTe dosing of direct Oral anticoaguLants In pAtients with Atrial Fibrillation: the ANATOLIA-AF Study
ConclusionThe study demonstrated that the prevalence of inappropriate direct oral anticoagulant dosing according to the European Heart Rhythm Association recommendations was 24.9% in patients with atrial fibrillation. Several demographic and clinical factors were associated with the inappropriate prescription of direct oral anticoagulants.

Statins Reduce Bleeding Risk in Patients Taking Oral Anticoagulants for Nonvalvular Atrial Fibrillation: A Retrospective Registry Study
ConclusionsStatins significantly reduced the risk of major bleeding, all-cause mortality, and ischemic events in patients with NVAF taking OACs. Their additive benefits should be considered in routine practice and thus be further researched.

Early statin use and cardiovascular outcomes after myocardial infarction: A population-based case-control study
CONCLUSIONS: Lack of statin therapy early after MI is associated with adverse outcomes across the spectrum of MI patients. Results underline the importance of timely statin use after MI.PMID:35803064 | DOI:10.1016/j.atherosclerosis.2022.06.1019

Stroke Prevention After Intracerebral Hemorrhage: Where Are We Now?
The objective of this article is to review the current guidelines on stroke prevention measures after ICH as well as the new findings and controversies for future guidance.Recent FindingsIntensive blood pressure reduction might benefit ICH survivors significantly. Cholesterol levels and the risk of ICH have an inverse relationship, but statin therapy after ICH might be still beneficial. Anticoagulation in atrial fibrillation after ICH specifically with novel oral anticoagulants may be associated with better long-term outcomes. Left atrial appendage occlusion may be an alternative for stroke prevention in ICH survivors with...
