Five-Year Prognostic Value of DAPT Score in Older Patients undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: A Large-Sample Study in the Real World
CONCLUSION: This study suggested that in older PCI patients, the DAPT score did not show predictive value for MACCE; however, it had a certain predictive value for 5-year BARC 2, 3, or 5 bleeding.PMID:37258235 | DOI:10.5551/jat.64212

The impact of angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitors versus angiotensin receptor blockers on 3-year clinical outcomes in elderly ( ≥ 65) patients with acute myocardial infarction without hypertension
ConclusionIn elderly AMI patients who underwent PCI with DES without a history of hypertension, the use of ACEI was significantly associated with reduced incidences of stroke, and re-hospitalization due to HF than those with the use of ARB.

Characteristics and short-term outcomes of outpatient and inpatient cardiac catheterizations: A descriptive study using a nationwide claim database in Japan
CONCLUSIONS: Approximately 5 % of cardiac catheterizations were performed in an outpatient setting. Given the low adverse event risk observed in this study, it may be a reasonable option to widen outpatient cardiac catheterization to include potential populations in Japan, warranting further studies.PMID:37247658 | DOI:10.1016/j.jjcc.2023.05.010

Dual Antiplatelet Therapy Duration After Multivessel Optimal Intravascular Ultrasound-Guided Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
CONCLUSIONS: The adoption of short DAPT duration was still low in this trial conducted after the release of the STOPDAPT-2 trial results. The 1-year incidence of cardiovascular events was not different between the shorter and longer DAPT groups, suggesting no apparent benefit of prolonged DAPT in reducing cardiovascular events even in patients who undergo multivessel PCI.PMID:37197941 | DOI:10.1253/circj.CJ-23-0141
