Effect of remimazolam on the incidence of delirium after transcatheter aortic valve implantation under general anesthesia: a retrospective exploratory study
ConclusionRemimazolam may benefit TF-TAVI in terms of postoperative delirium; however, its usefulness must be further evaluated in extensive prospective studies.

Assessment of Anesthesia Practice Patterns for Endovascular Therapy for Acute Ischemic Stroke: A Society for Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care (SNACC) Member Survey
Conclusions: There is wide variation in anesthesia technique and hemodynamic management during EVT for AIS, and no consensus on the choice of, or preferred medications for, GA or CS, or target blood pressure and management of hypotension during the procedure.

Effect of leg lift on stroke volume index in children 11-17 years old before and after induction of general anesthesia
CONCLUSIONS: 96% of normal 11-17-year-old children were fluid responsive while awake and 79% after induction of general anesthesia.PMID:34233078 | DOI:10.1111/pan.14254

Time to Post-Anesthesia Neurological Evaluation and Hemodynamic Stability in Carotid Endarterectomy Comparing Three General Anesthetic Techniques Targeted to a Preset Bispectral Index Value: A Pilot Study
The objective of this pilot study was to assess if any of three general anesthetic techniques for CEA are associated with a shorter time to a reliable postoperative neurological exam. Secondary objectives were to assess postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD), postoperative delirium (POD), and hemodynamic stability. Twenty-one patients undergoing CEA were enrolled and randomized to different combinations of inhalational and intravenous anesthesia: Group A: propofol, remifentanil, and desflurane; Group B: dexmedetomidine, remifentanil, and desflurane; Group C: remifentanil and desflurane. Anesthetic depth was titrated us...
