Association between prolonged exposure to long working hours and stroke subtypes in the CONSTANCES cohort
Conclusions LWH were associated with stroke, though it remained significant for haemorrhagic stroke only after adjustments. Differences in direct and indirect biological pathways and lack of power in the ischaemic subgroup may explain these results and further studies on the impact of mediating and effect measure modifying factors are needed. Nevertheless, policies that attenuate effects of both LWH and cardiovascular risks factor are warranted.

Detailing experienced nurse decision making during acute patient care simulations
CONCLUSIONS: Dwell time on general AOIs was associated with poorer DM, which may reflect poorer pattern recognition. Eye-tracking metrics may be effective to objectively assess nurse DM.PMID:36801523 | DOI:10.1016/j.apergo.2023.103988

Interventions for Caregivers of People Who Have Had a Stroke: A Systematic Review
CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE: Addressing caregiver needs with problem-solving and caregiver support in addition to typical education and training is essential. More research is needed that uses consistent doses, interventions, treatment settings, and outcomes. What This Article Adds: Although more research is needed, occupational therapy practitioners should provide combinations of interventions such as problem-solving techniques, customized support for each caregiver, and individualized education in the care of the stroke survivor.PMID:36795373 | DOI:10.5014/ajot.2023.050012
