CONCLUSIONS: The widespread use of aspirin for long-term secondary prevention is similar to other countries. Comorbidities and Antithrombotic Treatment Pattern in Patients With Atrial Fibrillation
ConclusionsThe treatment pattern of antithrombotics did not change with the introduction of NOACs. However, comorbidities served as an important factor in choosing treatment regardless of NOAC entry.

ConclusionsStroke patients with LEP face barriers to equitable care at multiple stages. While some studies demonstrate worse outcomes for LEP patients, equitable care was shown in multiple studies frequently in the setting of a high degree of interpreter availability. Patients with LEP will benefit from tailored education regarding stroke symptom recognition and medication regimens, and from provision of translated written educational material. Warfarin Treatment Is Associated to Increased Internal Carotid Artery Calcification
Conclusions: Long-lasting warfarin anticoagulation associated with increased calcification of carotid atherosclerotic plaques, particularly in locations known to be the predilection sites of stroke-causing plaques. The clinical significance of this novel finding warrants further investigations.

Risk Factors Control and Early Recurrent Cerebral Infarction in Patients with Symptomatic Intracranial Atherosclerotic Disease
Stroke caused by intracranial atherosclerotic disease (IAD) has the highest risk of early recurrence when compared to other stroke subtypes.1 Despite intensive medical management, the 1-year recurrence risk is as high as 15%.2,3 Uncontrolled risk factors may substantially influence stroke recurrence in symptomatic IAD. In the Warfarin-Aspirin Symptomatic Intracranial Disease (WASID) trial, uncontrolled systolic blood pressure (SBP) (>140 mmHg) and elevated cholesterol (>200 mg/dL) were associated with increased recurrent stroke during follow-up.
