LB-012 Incidence of intracranial hemorrhage after thrombectomy for large core infarcts: a sub analysis of the select2 trial
ConclusionIn a subset analysis of SELECT2 trial, patients receiving EVT had a higher rate of any intracranial hemorrhage when compared with those receiving medical management. Although EVT patients with ICH had a higher incidence of early neurological worsening, there was no difference in 90-day mRS, mortality and discharge dispositions between those with or without ICH.DisclosuresM. Impact of Collateral Circulation on Futile Endovascular Thrombectomy in Acute Anterior Circulation Ischemic Stroke
CONCLUSION: The assessment of collateral perfusion status using the collateral map can predict futile EVT, which may help select ineligible patients for EVT, thereby potentially reducing the rate of futile EVT.PMID:37536707 | DOI:10.3340/jkns.2023.0139

O-001 Trends in endovascular mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke: a regional comparison analysis using United States national inpatient sample data
ConclusionsThere remain significant regional differences in the outcomes of EVT for AIS. More analysis is required to determine what is driving these differences. More work is needed to ensure optimal and equitable patient outcomes.Abstract O-001 Table 1 Characteristic (p value) East North Central East South Central Middle Atlantic Mountain New England Pacific South Atlantic West North Central West South Central Age in Years Mean (±SD)(p<0.001) 68.69 ± 14.43 67.04 ± 14.85 70.09 ± 14.39 68.72 ± 14.53 70.27 ± 14.92 70.26 ± 14.51 68.81 ± 14.29 69.21 ± 14.51 67...

O-002 Safety and functional outcomes with early initiation of antiplatelet therapy following mechanical thrombectomy in emergent large vessel occlusion strokes: a single institution registry study

O-003 Comprehensive venous outflow predicts functional outcomes in acute ischemic stroke patients treated by thrombectomy
ConclusionsA new comprehensive VO score, inclusive of deep veins, was found to have a significantly greater association with functional independence at 90 days than COVES alone. A favorable CVO profile is strongly associated with functional independence and excellent post-thrombectomy reperfusion. Future studies should focus on patients with CVO status that is discrepant to eventual outcome.Abstract O-003 Figure 1Disclosures G. Adusumilli: None. T. Faizy: None. S. O-005 Submaximal angioplasty alone vs. stenting plus angioplasty for symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic disease - a propensity score matched comparative study with long term follow-up
ConclusionSubmaximal angioplasty alone results in better long-term clinical outcomes in terms of stroke/TIA when compared with stenting and angioplasty for symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic disease, and represents a potentially promising intervention.Abstract O-005 Table 1Procedural outcomes and patient follow-up dichotomized by submaximal angioplasv vs. stenting and angioplasty after propensity score matchingDisclosures A. O-006 Influence of geolocational factors on patient outcomes post EVT: a population based analysis of transport over long distances in the province of Saskatchewan
ConclusionsReal world geographic factors influence time to treatment, however patient specific factors play a great role in determining patient’s overall outcome during long transports. Factors such as collaterals, occlusion location, and initial aspects are more important than number of kilometers distance travelled or transfer from PSC alone. In an efficient transport system, centralized treatment at the CSC is a viable solution and does not preclude achieving functionally independent outcomes.Abstract O-006 Figure 1Disclosures N. O-007 Bridging thrombolysis yields diminished benefit among elderly stroke patients treated with endovascular thrombectomy
ConclusionsBridging thrombolysis may be associated with better outcomes in a real-world setting; however, this association is diminished among elderly patients due to higher rates of hemorrhagic complications. Meta-analyses of trial data and future prospective studies are needed to fully elucidate the benefits and risks of bridging thrombolysis in the elderly population.Abstract O-007 Figure 1Disclosures H.
