The Great Contrast Shortage of 2022 —Lessons learnt in Australia
ConclusionOur findings demonstrate that the IBCM shortage crisis had a very significant impact on the delivery of healthcare. While V/Q scans could (partially) substitute for CTPA studies in suspected pulmonary emboli, there appeared to be no valid alternative for CTNA studies in stroke calls. The unexpected and critical shortage of IBCM forced healthcare professionals to conserve resources, prioritise indications, triage patients based on risk, explore alternate imaging strategies and prepare for similar events recurring in the future.

Diffuse low-grade glioma misdiagnosed as acute cerebral infarction: A case report
We report a case of DLGG detected by computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Intramedullary spinal cord abscess associated with right-to-left shunt via right superior vena cava draining into left atrium: A case report
We report the first case of ISCA associated with RSVC-LA RL shunt.
Patient concerns:
A 36-year-old man developed progressive paraparesis, dysuria, and spontaneous pain in the lumbar region and lower extremities. Spinal magnetic resonance imaging revealed an intramedullary lesion extended from Th12 to L2 with ring-shaped gadolinium enhancement. Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) study exhibited a marked pleocytosis, and CSF culture grew Streptococcus intermedius. Cardiovascular computed tomography angiography identified RSVC-LA RL shunt, which caused transient acute cardiac syndrome due to air embolus.

Malignant Isolated Cortical Vein Thrombosis as the Initial Manifestation of Primary Antiphospholipid Syndrome: Lessons on Diagnosis and Management From a Case Report
ConclusionICoVT is a rare yet potentially fatal manifestation of APS, and its diagnosis and treatment are extremely challenging. Timely diagnosis, prompt treatment, and close monitoring are essential to improve the clinical prognosis of patients with APS-related ICoVT.

Direct Axillary Artery Cannulation for Aortic Surgery: Lessons from Contemporary Experiences
CONCLUSIONS: Direct AX cannulation for thoracic aortic repair is safe and carries a low rate of vascular injury, especially in elective cases. Distinct atrial remodeling in patients with subclinical atrial fibrillation: Lessons from computed tomographic images
ConclusionAs compared to clinical AF, patients with SCAF show a more favorable LA remodeling process. Among the patients with device-detected AHREs, worse LA remodeling and a reduced LAA/AA HU ratio were associated with the occurrence of AHREs ≥6 min. These findings may provide an incremental value for understanding SCAF.

Aortic arch interruption is a type of congenital vascular malformation that is often observed in childhood. Most children die of congestive heart failure due to rapid deterioration. Perfusion image guided mechanical thrombectomy combined with tirofiban successfully revascularize systemic lupus erythematosus related acute large vessel occlusion: A case report

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an important cause of stroke, more than a half the cases present as acute ischemic stroke. Wrist-hand extension function recovery in spastic hemiplegia patient by botulinum toxin injection plus surface electromyography biofeedback therapy: A case report

Successful dabigatran reversal after subdural hemorrhage using idarucizumab in a mobile stroke unit: A case report
