Novel Uses for Peritoneal Dialysis
Apart from its use in patients with end-stage kidney disease or acute kidney injury, there has recently been interest in the potential use of peritoneal dialysis for other, nonrenal indications. Death and cardiovascular outcomes in end-stage renal failure patients on different modalities of dialysis
CONCLUSION: The short-term incidence of death and AMI remains high in Singapore. Future studies should investigate the benefits of a tighter control of cardiovascular risk factors among ESRF patients on dialysis.PMID:35373236
