Postactivation depression changes after robotic-assisted gait training in hemiplegic stroke patients
This study provides the first demonstration that physical exercise can determine a partial normalization of postactivation depression in hemiparetic patients with spasticity following unilateral hemispheric stroke.

Vitamin D profile of patients with spinal cord injury and post-stroke hemiplegia: All in the same boat.
CONCLUSIONS: Vitamin D status of patients with neurological disabilities was lower than that of controls. Non-functionally ambulatory patients had higher vitamin D insufficiency rate than functionally ambulatory patients. Preventative measures including adequate supplementation of vitamin D should be directed to neurologically disabled subjects, particularly those with non-functional ambulation. Systematic review and clinical recommendations for dosage of supported home-based standing programs for adults with stroke, spinal cord injury and other neurological conditions
Conclusions: Standing should occur 30 min 5 times a week for a positive impact on most outcomes while 60 min daily is suggested for mental function and bone mineral density.

Conclusions This article highlights the important issues about the sEMG control method and accentuates the weaknesses associated with this type of control to assist researchers in overcoming problems that impede sEMG-controlled robotic devices to be feasible and practical tools for people afflicted with hand impairment.

Quantitative assessment for flexed-elbow deformity during gait following botulinum toxin A treatment
Involuntary flexed-elbow deformity is one of the most common deformities caused by spasticity and a positive sign of upper motor neuron syndrome [1]. In recent years, botulinum toxin A (BoNTA) has been widely used to reduce spasticity in cases of cerebral palsy [2,3], stroke [4 –8], traumatic brain injury [9], and spinal cord injury [10]. A meta-analysis [4] and several randomized controlled trials [5–8] reported the beneficial effects of BoNTA injection for upper-limb spasticity in stroke patients.

Quantification of Risk Factors for Cervical Ossification of the Posterior Longitudinal Ligament in Korean Populations: A Nationwide Population-based Case-control Study

Vertebral Artery Dissection Following Cervical Spine Injury as a Diagnostic Challenge. Case Study.
We present the case of a spinal cord-injured patient with neurological sequelae and delayed posterior circu-la-tion stroke caused by bilateral vertebral artery dissection. The signs of cerebellar and occipital lobe ischemia were masked by manifestations of spinal cord injury. The patient was unconscious and in a serious condition, but, despite no proper stroke treatment, only residual dysarthria and upper limb ataxia were seen after reha-bilitation. Wheelchair backs that support the spinal curves: Assessing postural and functional changes.
Conclusions: This pilot study demonstrated that a wheelchair back, which supports the seated spinal curves improves upright posture, functional reach, and wheelchair propulsion skills. Systematic overviews of partnership principles and strategies identified from health research about spinal cord injury and related health conditions: A scoping review
CONCLUSION: We provided systematic overviews of principles and strategies for research partnerships. These could be used by researchers and research users who want to work in partnership to plan, conduct and/or disseminate their SCI research.
