Cardiovascular mortality due to pulmonary embolism in subjects with renal impairment: patients’ comorbidities are crucial
Abstract we read with great interest the paper by Ocak et al. (1). The authors found that the age‐ and sex‐standardized mortality rate (SMR) for pulmonary embolism (PE) was 12.2 (95% CI 10.2‐14.6) times higher in dialysis patients than in the general population.
