Yield of Dual Therapy With Statin and Ezetimibe in the Treat Stroke to Target Trial

Causes of ischemic stroke in young adults versus non-young adults: A multicenter hospital-based observational study
CONCLUSIONS: Certain embolic sources and uncommon causes may be etiologically important causes of ischemic stroke in young adults. More Than 50 Percent Reduction in LDL Cholesterol in Patients With Target LDL & lt;70 mg/dL After a Stroke

Comparative mortality according to peripheral artery disease and coronary heart disease/stroke in the United States
CONCLUSIONS: In the US adults, PAD contributed to increased mortality in persons with and without CHD/stroke. The prognosis of PAD without CHD/stroke was no better than that of CHD/stroke without PAD. Association of Homocysteine with Acute Stroke and Its Subtypes in the Chinese Population
CONCLUSION: Plasma Hcy levels were found to be positively correlated with the risk of stroke, particularly in the context of LAA, SAO stroke, and HICH. Additionally, Hcy levels demonstrated a positive correlation with stroke severity in patients presenting with SAO stroke. These findings suggest potential clinical implications in stroke prevention, particularly for ischemic stroke (LAA, SAO subtypes) and HICH by employing homocysteine-lowering therapies. Incident Stroke and Its Influencing Factors in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and/or Hypertension: A Prospective Cohort Study
CONCLUSIONS: Patients with T2DM and/or HTN have a higher rate of new stroke and recurrence after 1-year follow-up.
