Exploring the experiences of stroke survivors, informal caregivers and healthcare providers in Sierra Leone: a qualitative study protocol
This study has received ethical approval from the Sierra Leone Ethics and Scientific Review Committee (8 December 2020) and the KCL Biomedical & Health Sciences, Dentistry, Medicine and Natural & Mathematical Sciences Research Ethics Subcommittee (reference: HR-20/21-21050). The findings of the study and learning in terms of the process of coproduction and involvement of stroke survivors will be disseminated via peer-reviewed publications, conferences, media and lay reports.

Cochrane author ’s work acknowledged in NIHR co-production publication
Cochrane author, and joint Co-ordinating editor, Alex Pollock, of Glasgow Caledonian University has seen her ground-breaking work in co-producing a Cochrane review included in a new UK ’s National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) INVOLVE publication.Alex involved stroke survivors, carers, physiotherapists and educators in an update of a Cochrane systematic review relating to physiotherapy after stroke. Psychosis Polyrisk Score (PPS) for the Detection of Individuals At-Risk and the Prediction of Their Outcomes
Conclusions The combination of risk/protective factors encompassing genetic (PRS) and non-genetic information (PPS) holds promise for overcoming the epidemiological weakness of the CHR-P paradigm. The PPS conceptually and empirically developed here will facilitate future research in this field and hopefully advance our ability to detect individuals at-risk for psychosis and forecast their clinical outcomes.
