Pulse pressure variation and stroke volume variation under different inhaled concentrations of isoflurane, sevoflurane and desflurane in pigs undergoing hemorrhage
CONCLUSION: The effects of desflurane, sevoflurane and isoflurane on pulse pressure variation and stroke volume variation were not different during normovolemia or hypovolemia.

Intravenous Propofol Versus Volatile Anesthetics For Stroke Endovascular Thrombectomy
Conclusion: In stroke patients undergoing endovascular thrombectomy treated using general anesthesia, there may be a differential effect between intravenous propofol and volatile inhalational agents. These results should be considered hypothesis-generating and be tested in future randomized controlled trials.

Effect of Leg Lift on Stroke Volume Index in Children 11-17 Years Old Before and After Induction of General Anesthesia
CONCLUSIONS: 96% of normal 11 to 17-year-old children were fluid responsive while awake and 79% after induction of general anesthesia.PMID:34233078 | DOI:10.1111/pan.14254

Sevoflurane preconditioning protects experimental ischemic stroke by enhancing anti-inflammatory microglia/macrophages phenotype polarization through GSK-3 β/Nrf2 pathway
CONCLUSIONS: Our results indicated that SPC exerts brain ischemic tolerance and promotes anti-inflammatory microglia/macrophages polarization by GSK-3β-dependent Nrf2 activation, which provides a novel mechanism for SPC-induced neuroprotection.PMID:34370899 | DOI:10.1111/cns.13715

Volatile sedation with sevoflurane in intensive care patients with acute stroke or subarachnoid haemorrhage using AnaConDa(R): an observational study
Conclusion Sevoflurane led to sufficient sedation, but decreased MAP and CPP in a selected cerebrovascular neurocritical care population. In about a third of these patients, severe adverse reactions, including intolerable ICP increases, were observed.
