Risks and benefits of concurrent treatment with antiplatelet and anticoagulation therapy in post ‐op bioprosthetic aortic valve replacement patients
ConclusionPatients who underwent bAVR and were discharged on concurrent therapy compared to aspirin only had a significantly increased risk of bleeding without a significant difference in thromboembolic events.

Group based trajectory modeling to assess adherence to oral anticoagulants among atrial fibrillation patients with comorbidities: a retrospective study
ConclusionAdherence to oral anticoagulants is suboptimal. Interventions tailored according to past adherence trajectories may be effective in improving patient ’s adherence.

Antiplatelet agents and anticoagulants for hypertension
CONCLUSIONS: There is no evidence that antiplatelet therapy modifies mortality in patients with elevated BP for primary prevention. ASA reduced the risk of cardiovascular events and increased the risk of major bleeding events. Antiplatelet therapy with ASA probably reduces the risk of non-fatal and all cardiovascular events when compared to clopidogrel. Clopidogrel increases the risk of major bleeding events compared to ASA in patients with elevated BP for secondary prevention. Association of Dental Infections with Intracranial Atherosclerotic Stenosis
CONCLUSION: We report significant associations between mild-moderate tooth loss, severe tooth loss and severe PD with <50% ICAS as well as an association between gingivitis and ≥50% ICAS. We did not find an association between dental caries and ICAS.PMID:37121226 | DOI:10.1159/000530829
