Retrospective cohort study investigating synergism of air pollution and corticosteroid exposure in promoting cardiovascular and thromboembolic events in older adults
Conclusion PM2.5 and systemic corticosteroid use were independently associated with increases in CTE hospitalisations. We also found evidence of significant additive interactions between the two exposures for HF and MI/ACSs suggesting synergy between these two exposures.

Long Term Outcomes and Anticoagulation in Mitral Valve Surgery - A Report from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Database
CONCLUSIONS: Anticoagulation was used in less than half of mitral valve surgery. In MVrep patients, warfarin was associated with increased bleeding and was not protective against either stroke or mortality. In BMVR patients, warfarin was associated with a modest survival benefit, increased bleeding and equivalent stroke risk. Risk for Bleeding-Related Hospitalizations During Use of Amiodarone With Apixaban or Rivaroxaban in Patients With Atrial Fibrillation : A Retrospective Cohort Study

Shorter Door-to-Needle Times Are Associated With Better Outcomes After Intravenous Thrombolytic Therapy and Endovascular Thrombectomy for Acute Ischemic Stroke
CONCLUSIONS: Among older patients with stroke treated with either IVT only or IVT+EVT, shorter DTN times are associated with better long-term functional outcomes and lower mortality.
