COVID-19 related thrombosis: A mini-review
CONCLUSIONS: Contemporary rapidly evolving evidence shows that COVID-19 associated thrombosis was a novel clinical entity, especially in severely ill COVID-19 patients. There are multiple society-driven guidelines only, but without any level 1 evidence for management regimen. The ideal dose for prophylaxis is not established and may vary depending on balance of bleeding and thrombosis risk. Thrombotic events following Covid-19 vaccines compared to Influenza vaccines
CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE: This study shows a significant increase in thrombotic events in subjects vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccines in comparison to a control group. The clinical implication of these findings should be interpreted with caution, in light of the high effectiveness of vaccination and the inherent risk of thrombosis from Covid-19 infection itself.PMID:35288031 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejim.2022.03.002
