Analysis of risk factors for the efficacy of tirofiban in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke
CONCLUSION: The early curative effect of tirofiban in acute ischemic stroke patients with a heavy drinking history and elevated total cholesterol was poor. In patients with acute ischemic stroke, the higher the NIHSS score was within a certain range (8 < NIHSS ≤15 and the Org 10,172 Trial in the Treatment of Acute Stroke (TOAST) belongs to small-artery occlusion lacunar) at the initiation of treatment and the shorter the time from onset to treatment, the better the early curative effect was.PMID:36599001 | DOI:10.1080/01616412.2022.2164447

Factors associated with medication persistence among ischemic stroke patients: a systematic review.
Conclusions: Stroke patients' medication persistence decreases over time, and persistence on antiplatelets, anticoagulants, and statin was poor. Statin effects on post-stroke epilepsy and mortality - Taiwan population-based study.

Inpatient statin use and stroke recurrence in patients with or without diabetes mellitus.
Conclusion: Inpatient statin use was associated with lower stroke recurrence in non-diabetic patients after acute ischaemic stroke, but no definite association between inpatient statin use and stroke recurrence in patients with diabetes mellitus was found. Statin treatment before stroke reduces pro-inflammatory cytokine levels after stroke.
CONCLUSION: Stroke induces changes in the RhoA-ROCK pathway in T-cells. CRP and NIHSS score correlated positively in the study. Statins may have an anti-inflammatory effect as statin treatment before stroke reduces post-stroke pro-inflammatory levels. Omega-3 fatty acid supplement reduces activation of NADPH oxidase in intracranial atherosclerosis stenosis.
Conclusions Long-term O3FA dietary supplementation prevents the development of intracranial atherosclerosis. This O3FA effect appears to be mediated by its attenuation of NOX subunit expression and NOX activity, therefore reducing ROS production.
