Conclusions— CP is an infrequent event during PCI-CABG but is closely associated with adverse clinical outcomes. A legacy effect of perforation on 12-month mortality was observed.

The definition of severe aortic stenosis has classically and retrospectively been based on the natural history of patients with medically managed aortic stenosis and preserved left ventricular function in an era where surgical aortic valve replacement was the sole therapy. Optimized Screening of Coronary Artery Disease With Invasive Coronary Angiography and Ad Hoc Percutaneous Coronary Intervention During Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement Structural Heart Disease
Conclusions— In patients undergoing TAVR, screening of CAD with invasive coronary angiography and ad hoc PCI during TAVR is feasible and was not associated with increased periprocedural risks. PCI followed by TAVR in the same session had similar outcomes than TAVR in which PCI was not performed.

Differential Event Rates and Independent Predictors of Long-Term Major Cardiovascular Events and Death in 5795 Patients With Unprotected Left Main Coronary Artery Disease Treated With Stents, Bypass Surgery, or Medication: Insights From a Large International Multicenter Registry Coronary Artery Disease
Conclusions— Among patients with unprotected left main coronary artery disease, the key clinical predictors for MACCE and death were generally similar regardless of index treatment. This study provides effect estimates for clinically relevant predictors of long-term clinical outcomes in real-world left main coronary artery patients, providing possible guidance for tailored preventive strategies. Conclusions— PPM implantation is not associated with increased risk of all-cause mortality, cardiovascular mortality, stroke, or myocardial infarction both at short- and long-term follow-up. However, PPM is associated with impaired left ventricular ejection fraction recovery post-transcatheter aortic valve replacement.

Conclusions— Transfemoral aortic valve replacement with the ES3 and the Lotus were associated with similar 30-day, 12-month, and 24-month clinical outcomes. Dual Antiplatelet Therapy Continuation Beyond 1 Year After Drug-Eluting Stents: A Meta-Analysis of Randomized Trials Coronary Interventions
Conclusions— In this meta-analysis, extended DAPT beyond 1 year prevented myocardial infarctions and increased major bleedings, but the strength of evidence for these effects was not strong. DAPT continuation beyond 1 year showed no effects on mortality.

Morbidity and Mortality Associated With Balloon Aortic Valvuloplasty: A National Perspective Structural Heart Disease
Conclusions— In a contemporary national registry, BAV is associated with significant morbidity and mortality that are similar to TAVR. With the substantial increase in BAV utilization and the continuous improvement in TAVR outcomes, these data have important implications to aid clinicians in the selection of appropriate BAV candidates.

Conclusions— In this first matched comparison of THVs for valve-in-valve implantations, Portico and CoreValve demonstrated differences in postprocedural hemodynamics and long-term clinical outcomes. Although this could be related to THV design characteristics, the impact of other procedural factors cannot be excluded and require further evaluation.

Glycemic Control Status After Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and Long-Term Clinical Outcomes in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Coronary Artery Disease
Conclusions— HbA1c<7.0 measured 2 years after percutaneous coronary intervention was associated with a reduced rate of MACCE. Our data suggest that high HbA1c levels 2 years after percutaneous coronary intervention may identify a population at increased risk of adverse events, especially repeat revascularization.

Independent Modular Filter for Embolic Protection in Carotid Stenting Peripheral Vascular Disease
Conclusions— The data suggest that independent modular filter use in carotid artery stenting in high surgical risk patients is safe and effective. The outcomes suggest that use of an independent modular filter may be associated with a lower rate of embolic complications associated with carotid stent placement. Conclusions— PCI using drug-eluting stents and CABG are equally safe methods of revascularization for patients at low surgical risk with significant unprotected left main coronary artery stenosis. However, CABG is associated with significantly lower rates of repeat revascularization.
