Outcomes in minor stroke patients treated with intravenous thrombolysis
CONCLUSIONS: Intravenous t-PA may be safe and effective in minor stroke (NIHSS ≤ 5) within a 4.5-h window and further randomized controlled trials are warranted.PMID:36942504 | DOI:10.1111/cns.14164

Functional recovery continues beyond 3  months post-basilar artery thrombectomy: A retrospective cohort study
CONCLUSION: Over a quarter of patients improved beyond 3 months. Future studies should adopt long-term follow up as primary outcome.PMID:36942501 | DOI:10.1111/cns.14182

Regulatory T cells promote functional recovery after spinal cord injury by alleviating microglia inflammation via STAT3 inhibition
CONCLUSION: Our results suggest that Tregs promote functional recovery after SCI by alleviating microglia inflammatory reaction via STAT3.PMID:36914969 | DOI:10.1111/cns.14161

Association between stress hyperglycemia and outcomes in patients with acute ischemic stroke due to large vessel occlusion
CONCLUSION: Stress hyperglycemia ratio, as measured by the glucose/HbA1C, was associated with a decreased odds of achieving a favorable functional outcome in patients with acute large vessel occlusion stroke at 90 days.PMID:36914967 | DOI:10.1111/cns.14163

Monocyte to high-density lipoprotein ratio predicts clinical outcomes after acute ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack
CONCLUSIONS: Elevated MHR can independently predict all-cause death and poor functional outcome in patients with ischemic stroke or TIA.PMID:36914580 | DOI:10.1111/cns.14152

Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on acute stroke care: An  analysis of the 24-month data from a comprehensive stroke center in Shanghai, China
CONCLUSIONS: During the 24 months of COVID-19, a prolongation of stroke onset to hospital arrival and to intravenous rt-PA administration times were noted. Meanwhile, acute stroke patients needed to stay in the ED for a longer time before hospitalization. Educational system support and process optimization should be pursued in order to acquire timely delivery of stroke care during the pandemic.PMID:36890633 | DOI:10.1111/cns.14148

Intravenous thrombolysis versus antiplatelet therapy in minor stroke patients with large vessel occlusion
CONCLUSION: In patients with minor stroke harboring LVO within 4.5-h time window, intravenous t-PA was associated with higher odds for the excellent functional outcome, as compared with the aspirin alone. Further randomized controlled trials are warranted.PMID:36880290 | DOI:10.1111/cns.14124

Srs11-92, a ferrostatin-1 analog, improves oxidative stress and neuroinflammation via Nrf2 signal following cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury
CONCLUSION: The findings imply that Fer-1 analog AA9 may be suitable for further translational studies for the protection of neuronal damage via Nrf2 signal pathway-mediated oxidative stress and neuroinflammation in stroke and others neurological diseases.PMID:36852441 | DOI:10.1111/cns.14130
