Conclusions—A single, high-quality computed tomography angiography is the preferred diagnostic strategy. Short-term complications are rare and often transient. Long-term outcome is excellent with respect to disability and death, but high-quality studies focused at neuropsychological sequelae are needed.

Computed Tomographic Perfusion Predicts Poor Outcomes in a Randomized Trial of Endovascular Therapy Clinical Sciences
Conclusions—The majority of patients with CTP imaging in the ESCAPE trial had penumbral patterns, which were associated with better outcomes overall. Patients with penumbra treated with endovascular therapy had the greatest odds of good functional outcome. Nonpenumbral patients were much less likely to achieve good outcomes.

Predictors of Thrombolysis Administration in Mild Stroke Clinical Sciences
Conclusions—Mild acutely presenting stroke patients are more likely to receive thrombolysis if they are young, white, or Hispanic and arrive early to the hospital with more severe neurological presentation.
