Characteristics of inpatient care and rehabilitation for acute first-ever stroke patients.
CONCLUSION: Our analysis revealed that a relatively small portion of patients who suffered from an acute first-ever stroke received rehabilitation consultation and inpatient rehabilitation treatment. Thus, applying standardized clinical practice guidelines for post-acute rehabilitation care is needed to provide more effective and efficient rehabilitation services to patients with stroke. Characteristics of pulmonary vein enlargement in non-valvular atrial fibrillation patients with stroke.
CONCLUSION: Compared to the right PVs, the left PVs and LAA exhibited more significant enlargement in patients with AF and stroke than in patients with AF only. This finding suggests that the remodeling of left-sided LA structures might be related to stroke. PMID: 25323887 [PubMed - in process]

Antithrombotic Medication and the Risk of Vitreous Hemorrhage in Atrial Fibrillation: Korean National Health Insurance Service National Cohort.
CONCLUSION: Dual antiplatelet or triple therapy increased the risk of VH significantly, compared to warfarin monotherapy. Considering the low efficacy of preventing ischemic stroke and high risk of bleeding, dual or triple therapy using warfarin and antiplatelet agents should be avoided to prevent VH in AF patients. MRI Assessment of Cerebral Small Vessel Disease in Patients with Spontaneous Intracerebral Hemorrhage.
CONCLUSION: All MRI markers for SVD were worse in ICH patients than in healthy controls, and these markers were prominent even in young ICH patients. Lacunae, WMH, EPVS, and CMB should be considered as factors related with spontaneous ICH. PMID: 31347333 [PubMed - in process]
