Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on acute stroke care: An analysis of the 24-month data from a comprehensive stroke center in Shanghai, China
CONCLUSIONS: During the 24 months of COVID-19, a prolongation of stroke onset to hospital arrival and to intravenous rt-PA administration times were noted. Meanwhile, acute stroke patients needed to stay in the ED for a longer time before hospitalization. Association of body mass index with COVID-19-related neurologic sequelae: a retrospective cohort study
This study demonstrates the absence of an association between BMI and neurologic manifestations following acute COVID-19 illness. Prospective studies using standardized data collection tools and direct measures of body fat are warranted to obtain more valid effect estimates.

MRI of Cerebrovascular Injury Associated With COVID-19 and Non-COVID-19 Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome: A Matched Case-Control Study
CONCLUSIONS:
In a case-control study of selected ARDS patients with brain MRI, the frequencies of ischemic and hemorrhagic cerebrovascular injuries were similar between COVID-19 versus non-COVID-19 ARDS patients. However, the MRI pattern of disseminated hemorrhagic leukoencephalopathy was unique to the COVID-19 ARDS patients in this cohort.

Prehospital emergency department care activations during the initial COVID-19 pandemic surge
