CCR5- Δ32 polymorphism: a possible protective factor for post-stroke depressive symptoms
CONCLUSION: Carriers of the CCR5-Δ32 allele had a lower tendency to develop depressive symptoms post-stroke, and this phenomenon was more prominent in women. These findings could have clinical implications; they suggest a mechanism-based treatment target for post-stroke depression. Drugs mimicking this loss-of-function mutation exist and could serve as a novel antidepressant therapy.PMID:34291627 | DOI:10.1503/jpn.200197

Trail Making Test Normative Data for the German Older Population
CONCLUSIONS: For TMT-A, TMT-B, and B - A, the narrow age categorization and distinction between three educational levels proved meaningful. The 300 s limit for the TMT-B impedes the identification of thresholds for very low performance in this age group and needs reconsideration.PMID:34009235 | DOI:10.1093/arclin/acab027
