Role of TRPV1 in electroacupuncture-mediated signal to the primary sensory cortex during regulation of the swallowing function
CONCLUSION: The TRPV1 at CV23 after EA treatment might play a key role in mediating local blood perfusion but was not involved in transferring EA signals to the central nervous system (CNS). These findings collectively suggested that TRPV1 may be one of the important regulators involved in the mechanism of EA treatment for improving swallowing function in PSD.PMID:37718934 | DOI:10.1111/cns.14457

Septic Shock From Pan-Spinal Epidural Abscess Attributed to Recent Acupuncture and Trigger Point Injections for Acute Lower Back Pain in a Previously Undiagnosed Diabetic Patient: A Case Report

She also saw her primary care physician on day three prior to presentation, who performed a history and physical examination and, after feeling that sh...

Efficacy of the anti-seizure medications in acute symptomatic neonatal seizures caused by stroke. A systematic review
CONCLUSIONS: Our review shows that the use of ASMs that act throughout a gabaergic mechanism are inadequate in controlling seizures secondary to neonatal stroke in full-term newborns. Very effective seems to be lidocaine and levetiracetam with an apparent safer profile in short and long term. Bumetanide shows promising results, but they need to be confirmed by phase 3 studies.PMID:36533757 | DOI:10.23750/abm.v93i6.13440
