Estimation and predictors of direct hospitalisation expenses and in-hospital mortality for patients who had a stroke in a low-middle income country: evidence from a nationwide cross-sectional study in Iranian hospitals
Conclusion Applying cost-effective stroke prevention strategies among the younger population (≤49 years old) is strongly recommended. Migration to universal health insurance can effectively reduce the inequality gap among all insured patients.

Lifestyle Assessment in Young Adults with Ischemic Stroke: One Cross-Sectional Study in Iran
Conclusion: According to the association between inappropriate lifestyle and ischemic stroke in young adults, it is recommended to set preventive medicine and health promotion units with insurance coverage in all clinics for risk assessment of stroke in healthy general population specialty young adults.

Cost-effectiveness analysis of tissue plasminogen activator in acute ischemic stroke in Iran.
CONCLUSIONS: The balance of hospitalization and rehabilitation costs and QALYs support the conclusion that treatment with intravenous tPA in the 4.5 hour time window is cost-effective from the perspectives of third party payer and inclusion of tPA in the insurance benefit package is reasonable.
