Comparison of Nebulized Versus Intravenous Milrinone on Reducing Pulmonary Arterial Pressure in Patients with Pulmonary Hypertension Candidate for Open-cardiac Surgery: A Double-Blind Randomized Clinical Trial
CONCLUSIONS: Nebulized milrinone administration before weaning off cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) can be accelerated and facilitate weaning off CPB. Moreover, despite maintaining MAP, nebulized milrinone significantly reduces mPAP. According to the results of this study, nebulized milrinone is recommended in patients undergoing cardiac surgery with pulmonary hypertension.PMID:36818483 | PMC:PMC9923341 | DOI:10.5812/aapm-122994

Predictors of Mortality for Patients with ST-Elevation Myocardial Infraction after 2-Year Follow-Up: A ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction Cohort in Isfahan Study
CONCLUSION: The set of factors can increase or decrease mortality in these patients. Significant predictors of mortality STEMI patients by 2-year follow up were age, HR, EF, LDL-C, and preangia. It seems that more articles need to be done in different parts of Iran to confirm the results.PMID:36798920 | PMC:PMC9926029 | DOI:10.4103/abr.abr_242_21

HIV-associated multiple intracranial aneurysms and stroke in an adult patient: successful treatment with a combination of glucocorticoid and antiviral agents
AbstractA 35-year-old Iranian man with an 18-year history of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection developed sudden left-sided hemiparesis and mild dysarthria. Based on laboratory results, brain and neck computerized tomography angiography (CTA), echocardiography, hypercoagulability tests, and vasculitis tests, the patient was diagnosed with a stroke with multiple intracranial aneurysms secondary to HIV. Cerebral aneurysms and stroke are uncommon in HIV-infected patients, and the aneurysms ’ exact cause and risk factors are unknown. There is currently no effective regimen or definitive treatment for HIV-associated...
