This study aimed to investigate the potential prognosis role of non-specific laboratory data at admission and baseline MMP-2 and MMP-9 serum levels in predicting HT risk, discharge, and 3-month follow-up status of IS patients. Association between diseases of despair and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease among insured adults in the USA: a retrospective cohort study from 2017 to 2021
Conclusions Among this cohort of insured adults, documented DoD was associated with increased ASCVD risk. Further research to understand and address cardiovascular disease prevention in those with DoD could reduce costs, morbidity and mortality. Further examination of overlapping structural factors that may be contributing to concurrent rises in ASCVD and DoD in the USA is needed.

Multimorbidity of cardiometabolic diseases: a cross-sectional study of patterns, clusters and associated risk factors in sub-Saharan Africa
Conclusion Our findings show that cardiometabolic multimorbidity and lifestyle risk factors cluster in distinct patterns with a disproportionate burden among women, middle-aged, persons in high socioeconomic positions, and those with sedentary lifestyles and obesity. These results provide insights for health systems response in SSA to focus on these clusters as potential targets for integrated care.

Associations Between Korean Coronary Heart Disease Risk Score and Cognitive Function in Dementia-Free Korean Older Adults
