Workforce Attachment after Ischemic Stroke – The Importance of Time to Thrombolytic Therapy
The ability to remain in employment addresses an important consequence of stroke beyond the usual clinical parameters. However, data on the association between time to intravenous thrombolysis and workforce attachment in patients with acute ischemic stroke are sparse.

Depression and quality of life after cerebral venous sinus thrombosis
Conclusion: This is the first Indian study demonstrating depression in patients with CVST and use of SA-SIP to assess quality of life in them. Occurrence of depression in CVST is as high as in arterial strokes.

Long-term outcome after cerebral venous thrombosis: analysis of functional and vocational outcome, residual symptoms, and adverse events in 161 patients
Abstract Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) affects mainly working-aged individuals. Functional recovery after CVT is generally considered good with about 3/4 of patients achieving short-term independence. However, vascular events, long-term functional outcome, and employment after CVT remain poorly investigated. Clinical Reasoning: An unusual case of subacute encephalopathy
A 52-year-old previously healthy man presented with 8 months of progressive cognitive decline. He complained of months of confusion, fatigue, depression, hypersomnolence, headaches, and, subsequently, urinary incontinence and unsteady gait. His family reported that he spoke of his deceased mother as if she were alive. His executive deficits progressed, leading to termination of his employment and a motor vehicle accident. He was evaluated and treated in Morocco before presenting to our institution for further care.
