Tirofiban in the treatment of cancer-associated ischemic stroke
CONCLUSIONS: Early administration of tirofiban in the treatment of mild to moderate ischemic stroke is safe, which can reduce 24-hour and 7-day NIHSS scores and has potential value.PMID:37140310 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202304_32142

Comparative efficacy and safety of antiplatelet or anticoagulant therapy in patients with chronic coronary syndromes after percutaneous coronary intervention: A network meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
Aimed to evaluate and compare the interactive effects of different antiplatelet or anticoagulation strategies in patients with chronic coronary syndromes (CCS) after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Randomized controlled trials comparing different antiplatelet or anticoagulant strategies in patients with CCS after PCI were included. The primary outcomes were major adverse cardiovascular event (MACE), mortality, ischemic and bleeding events. Compared to aspirin alone, addition of prasugrel or ticagrelor to aspirin resulted in lower risk of myocardial infarction (MI) [odds ratio (OR): 0.38 (95% confidence interval 0...

Fatal Adverse Events of Dabigatran Combined With Aspirin in Elderly Patients: An Analysis Using Data From VigiBase
Conclusion: The fatal adverse events associated with the combined use of dabigatran and aspirin in elderly patients were mainly serious bleeding events, which often occurred within 1 month. Most of these cases had medication errors and most of the patients had multiple diseases, medications, or other conditions at the same time that increase the risk of bleeding. It is suggested that prescription of dabigatran and aspirin in elderly patients should go along with alertness for medication errors, care for correct dose or control of other bleeding risk factors, and the combined medication time should be as short as possible ...

Efficacy and safety of ticagrelor monotherapy in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention: a meta-analysis
Clin Pharmacol Ther. 2021 Mar 5. doi: 10.1002/cpt.2226. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTDual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) and subsequent P2Y12 inhibitor monotherapy, particularly ticagrelor, is an emerging treatment strategy in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). This meta-analysis was designed to investigate whether short-term DAPT followed by ticagrelor monotherapy is associated with a favorable outcome as compared to standard DAPT. 1-3 months of DAPT was termed "short-term" DAPT, 6-12 months DAPT was termed "standard" DAPT. The primary outcome was the composite of major adverse cardiovascular even...
