Obstructive sleep apnea and other predictors of postoperative complications after bariatric surgery
Conclusions: Prevalence of postoperative complications in bariatric surgery patients was low and untreated moderate to severe OSA was not predictor of prolonged hospital stay.

Ninety-seven cases of experiences with the left thoracotomy approach for off-pump conventional revascularization: a retrospective cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: Left thoracotomy for conventional revascularization is a safe procedure for appropriately selected patients, with few early complications and good early and mid-term results. Iatrogenic empyema secondary to the malposition of a nasogastric tube
We describe a patient who has had multiple NG tubes misplaced into the left main bronchus causing pneumothoraces and an NG feeding-related empyema. AbstractBlind NGT insertion can lead to tube misplacement into the respiratory tract. Background: The Covid 19 pandemic has a vast socioeconomic impact worldwide. Obtaining information about the course of the disease is vital for better management.Aim: To assess the risk, comorbidities (CMs) and mortality in hospitalized patients with Covid 19 pneumonia.Methods: The information was gathered from the medical registry and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS.Results: A total of 337 patient were analyzed. Fast-track anesthesia in lateral mini-thoracotomy for transapical transcatheter valve implantation
CONCLUSIONS: Fast-track anesthesia using paravertebral-blockade for transcatheter transapical valve replacement in high-risk patients is a possible anesthetic approach. An effective PVB, in addition to a double-lumen laryngeal mask, provide an alternative strategy to conventional general anesthesia.
