"Lifting Yang to Dredging Du Meridian Manipulation" acupuncture alleviates cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury by mediating the NF- κB pathway
CONCLUSIONS: LYDD acupuncture ameliorates cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury by inhibiting NF-κB pathway activity.PMID:37414270 | DOI:10.1016/j.brainres.2023.148477

Oscillatory shear stress modulates Notch-mediated endothelial mesenchymal plasticity in cerebral arteriovenous malformations
CONCLUSIONS: Our study provides, for the first time, evidence for the role of oscillatory shear stress in mediating the EndMT process and dysregulated expression of cell adhesion molecules, especially multifunctional integrin α9/β1 in human cAVM nidus. Concomitantly, our findings indicate the potential use of small-molecular inhibitors such as RO4929097 in the less-invasive therapeutic management of cAVMs.PMID:36934253 | DOI:10.1186/s11658-023-00436-x

Resveratrol Preconditioning Downregulates PARP1 Protein to Alleviate PARP1-Mediated Cell Death Following Cerebral Ischemia
This study describes a novel mechanism by which RPC instills prophylaxis against ischemia-induced PARP1 overexpression and parthanatos, through a long-term reduction of nuclear PARP1 protein.PMID:36633794 | DOI:10.1007/s12975-022-01119-z

Storax Protected Primary Cortical Neurons from Oxygen-Glucose Deprivation/Reoxygenation Injury via Inhibiting the TLR4/TRAF6/NF- κB Signaling Pathway
This study aimed to elucidate the neuroprotective effects and underlying mechanisms of storax on oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation (OGD/R) in injured cortical neurons. The cortical neurons of Wistar rats were primarily cultured in vitro. TheTUNELmethod and CM-H2DCFDA probe were used to detect cell apoptosis and reactive oxygen species (ROS) expression. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, and Western blot were used to detect the expression of inflammatory cytokines and proteins of the TLR4/TRAF6/NF-κB signaling pathway. Immunofluorescence was used to measure NF-κB nuc...

Isoquercitrin Upregulates Aldolase C Through Nrf2 to Ameliorate OGD/R-Induced Damage in SH-SY5Y Cells
Neurotox Res. 2021 Nov 13. doi: 10.1007/s12640-021-00430-1. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTIsoquercitrin (ISO), an extract from Chinese traditional herb, exhibits potent neuroprotective roles in various disease models. However, its role in stroke is not fully understood. We established oxygen-glucose deprivation and reoxygenation (OGD/R) model in SH-SY5Y cell to study the roles of ISO in stroke. In the experiment, the changes of LDH level and cell viability (MTT) were analyzed. Apoptotic cells stained with anti-Annexin V antibody and propidium iodide (PI) were detected by flow cytometry. The mRNA and protein level of aldola...
