Neurol Med Chir (Tokyo). 2023 Aug 30. doi: 10.2176/jns-nmc.2023-0090. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe current study aims to evaluate the incidence and results of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) throughout Kobe City. Based on a multicenter retrospective registry-based descriptive trial involving all 13 primary stroke centers in Kobe City, patients with aSAH treated between October 2017 and September 2019 were studied. Long-Term Effectiveness of Cilostazol in Patients with Hemodialysis with Peripheral Artery Disease
CONCLUSION: Continuous treatment of cilostazol in patients with HD with PAD significantly decreases the risk of ED visits, hemorrhagic stroke, and cardiovascular events and improves ED visit-free and cardiovascular event-free rates during long-term follow-up.PMID:36216573 | DOI:10.5551/jat.63404

Does Weekends Effect Exist in Asia? Analysis of Endovascular Thrombectomy for Acute Ischemic Stroke in A Medical Center
Conclusions This study revealed nonworking-hour effects truly exist in patients who received EST. Although delays in door-to-groin puncture times were noticed during nonworking hours, significant differences in neurological functions and mortality were not observed between working and nonworking hours. Nevertheless, methods to improve the process during nonworking hours should be explored in the future.PMID:35894472 | DOI:10.2174/1567202619666220727094020

Association Between Intensity of Low-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol Reduction With Statin-Based Therapies and Secondary Stroke Prevention: A Meta-analysis of Randomized Clinical Trials
CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE: This study suggests that the benefits and risks of more intensive LDL-C-lowering statin-based therapies for recurrent stroke risk reduction might be more favorable than the benefits and risks of less intensive LDL-C-lowering statin-based therapies, especially for patients with evidence of atherosclerosis.PMID:35188949 | DOI:10.1001/jamaneurol.2021.5578
