External validation of the SEDAN score: The real world practice of a single center
Conclusions: The SEDAN score was practical to use and predictive in Thai population. Each parameter of the SEDAN score was an independent risk factor for sICH after treatment with i.v. rt-PA.

Comparison of On-hour vs Off-hour Patient Cohorts at a Primary Stroke Center: Onset-To-Treatment Duration and Clinical Outcomes after IV Thrombolysis (S21.005)
CONCLUSIONS: We found no significant differences in OTT durations, stroke severity, or stroke outcomes between patients whose symptoms originated during on-hours vs off-hours. Transitions of care for stroke and TIA
ConclusionHospital length of stay, age, insurance status, discharge disposition, comorbidities, and readmission rates were identified as important elements affecting TOC for stroke and TIA. Information from patient surveys indicated that emotional health, follow‐up with care providers, stroke education, and point of contact are important elements during the transition periods after stroke and TIA.

Pattern and risk factors of stroke in the young among stroke patients admitted in medical college hospital, Thiruvananthapuram
Conclusion: In all, 15% of total stroke occurred in young adults <50 years. The proportion of hemorrhagic stroke in young adults is higher than in elderly. Atrial fibrillation is identified as an independent risk factor of stroke in the young. Compared with stroke in elderly alcohol use, smoking, hyperlipidemia, and cardiac diseases, which are known risk factors, are higher in young stroke.

Crohns disease with central nervous system vasculitis causing subarachnoid hemorrhage due to aneurysm and cerebral ischemic stroke
We report a 39-year-old male who presented with headache, vomiting, and left-sided weakness in the known case of CD. Cross-sectional imaging (computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging,) showed right gangliocapsular acute infarct with supraclinoid cistern subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Dabigatran etexilate: An alternative to warfarin for patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation
ConclusionsSignificant evidence from the PETRO and RE‐LY trials and postmarketing analyses of dabigatran etexilate indicate that this direct thrombin inhibitor is as efficacious as warfarin in ischemic stroke prevention. In fact, the studies found that patients taking dabigatran etexilate had fewer incidences of ischemic stroke and intracranial hemorrhage than those taking warfarin. Risk for major gastrointestinal bleeding appears to be higher than that for warfarin.

HAT Score Outperforms 7 Other Hemorrhagic Transformation Scores in Ischemic Stroke Patients Treated with Thrombolysis (P3.109)
Conclusions: HAT score yielded the highest odds ratio among the 4 scores that accurately predicted sICH in our independent dataset. HAT score also had low computational complexity compared to other scores. The Discharge Modified Rankin Scale Score Correlates with Established Hemorrhagic Transformation Scores in Ischemic Stroke Patients Treated with Thrombolysis (P7.118)
Conclusions: Discharge MRS scores showed robust agreement with at least 3 HT scores known to predict long-term functional outcomes after IV rt-PA therapy. Hyponatremia in stroke
Conclusion: Incidence of hyponatremia in our study population was 35%. In patients of hyponatremia 67% were having SIADH and 33% were having CSWS. Overall hyponatremia affected the outcome of stroke especially when caused by CSWS. Therefore close monitoring of serum sodium must be done in all patients who are admitted with stroke and efforts must be made to determine the cause of hyponatremia, in order to properly manage such patients thereby decreasing the mortality rate.
