Regulation of the p53 ‑mediated ferroptosis signaling pathway in cerebral ischemia stroke (Review)
Exp Ther Med. 2023 Jan 26;25(3):113. doi: 10.3892/etm.2023.11812. eCollection 2023 Mar.ABSTRACTStroke is one of the most threatening diseases worldwide, particularly in countries with larger populations; it is associated with high morbidity, mortality and disability rates. Endothelial Specific Deletion of Autotaxin Improves Stroke Outcomes
This study suggests that endothelial-specific ATX leads to increased LPA in the brain vasculature following ischemic-reperfusion and ultimately disrupts vascular permeability, resulting in adverse stroke outcomes.PMID:36766854 | DOI:10.3390/cells12030511

Clinical utility of serum glial fibrillary acidic protein in glial neoplasm
CONCLUSION: Increasing serum GFAP levels in the preoperative period correlate with higher tumor grade, especially grade III and grade IV tumors. The serum GFAP levels showed relation to tumor volume, both before and after surgery.PMID:36761257 | PMC:PMC9899464 | DOI:10.25259/SNI_889_2022
