Major risk-stratification models fail to predict outcomes in patients with multivessel coronary artery disease undergoing simultaneous hybrid procedure.
CONCLUSIONS: In patients with multivessel disease undergoing a hybrid procedure, the SYNTAX score, EuroSCORE, SinoSCORE and GRC were inaccurate in predicting MACCE. Modifying risk-stratification models to improve the predictive value for a hybrid procedure is needed.

The prognostic value of serum albumin levels on admission in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction undergoing a primary percutaneous coronary intervention
Objectives: Hypoalbuminemia is associated with a poor prognosis in patients with end-stage renal disease, chronic ischemic heart disease, heart failure (HF), and stroke. We aimed to investigate its prognostic value in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) treated by a primary percutaneous coronary intervention (p-PCI).
Materials and methods: We retrospectively enrolled 1706 patients with STEMI treated by p-PCI. We prospectively followed up the patients for a median duration of 40 months.

Health related quality of life in coronary patients and its association with their cardiovascular risk profile: Results from the EUROASPIRE III survey
Conclusion: Overall, a large heterogeneity was observed in HRQoL values between countries and patient groups. There seems to be a significant association between quality of life and patient characteristics with lifestyle risk factors as important determinants of HRQoL.
