Continuous rhythm monitoring ‐guided anticoagulation after atrial fibrillation ablation
ConclusionOAC can be discontinued in a significant percentage of patients following CA of AF. When guided by continuous rhythm monitoring, this practice does not unacceptably increase the risk of thromboembolic events

Associations of anemia with stroke, bleeding, and mortality in atrial fibrillation: A systematic review and meta ‐analysis
ConclusionAnemia is a frequently observed comorbidity in patients with AF, and is associated with an increased risk of all ‐cause, cardiovascular and noncardiovascular mortality, stroke/systemic thromboembolism, and major and gastrointestinal bleeding. Future studies are required to explore the causes of anemia in AF, and whether investigation and treatment may be clinically beneficial in affected individuals.

Sex ‐based differences in procedural complications associated with atrial fibrillation catheter ablation: A systematic review and meta‐analysis
ConclusionWomen experience significantly higher rates of AFCA complications. However, the incidence of major procedural complications is very low in both sexes. The higher rate of complications in women may be partially attributable to older age and a higher prevalence of comorbidities at the time of ablation. More detailed studies are needed to better define the mechanisms of increased risk in women and to identify strategies for closing the sex gap.

Warfarin vs non ‐vitamin K oral anticoagulants for left atrial appendage thrombus: A meta‐analysis
ConclusionThe results of our meta ‐analysis show that NOACs are as efficacious and safe as warfarin in the treatment of left atrial appendage thrombus in patients with non‐valvular atrial fibrillation.

Use of oral anticoagulation therapy in the first 3 months after the diagnosis of atrial fibrillation in Israel: a population ‐based study
ConclusionIn this real world, population ‐based cohort of patients with newly diagnosed AF, we found a lower than expected rate of OAC prescription within 3 months of diagnosis but an encouraging increase in OAC purchasing over time. Use of NOACs has risen exponentially in only a few years, accounting for a greater pool of AF patients be ing prescribed an OAC.This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

Long ‐term clinical outcomes from real‐world experience of left atrial appendage exclusion with LARIAT device
ConclusionsLong term data from routine clinical practice from our study suggests that LAA exclusion with LARIAT device is an effective treatment in management of non ‐valvular AF patients with high risk of stroke, bleeding and mortality. Further randomized trials, such as aMAZE, will provide more insight in this expanding field. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

Augmented Intelligence Decision Tool for Stroke Prediction Combines Factors from CHA2DS2 ‐VASc and the Intermountain Risk Score for Patients with Atrial Fibrillation
ConclusionsA temporally dynamic risk score, IMRS ‐VASc was derived and validated as a predictor of stroke in AF outpatients.
