BMI and BMI change following incident type 2 diabetes and risk of microvascular and macrovascular complications: the EPIC-Potsdam study
Conclusions/interpretationAmong people with incident type 2 diabetes, pre-diagnosis BMI was positively associated with microvascular complications, while a reduced risk was observed with weight loss when compared with stable weight. Osteoporosis and Sarcopenia Increase Frailty Syndrome in the Elderly
Conclusions World population is aging and the increase in life expectancy is often unhealthy.
