Endovascular thrombectomy for distal vessel occlusion stroke: Single-center experience
CONCLUSION: This single-center real-world experience demonstrates that EVT in patients with DVO stroke is safe and feasible and may lead to improved clinical outcome.PMID:36999213 | DOI:10.1177/15910199231162670

Under (back) pressure: Better collateral flow may facilitate clot removal in ischemic stroke: A systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: The presence of good collaterals may increase the odds of achieving successful reperfusion following EVT for AIS. Improved collateral flow was associated with improved angiographic outcomes, although future work is needed to determine if a causal relationship exists.PMID:36987690 | DOI:10.1177/15910199231166739

Association between basilar artery stenosis features, vertebral artery stenosis and perforator stroke after stenting
CONCLUSION: Patients with proximal BA stenosis had a higher proportion of severe stenosis and strong plaque enhancement, particularly in patients complicated with VA stenosis and VBJ stenosis. Perforator stroke after BA stenting may be related to distribution, burden and characteristics of BA lesions.PMID:36987683 | DOI:10.1177/15910199231164840

Are we improving? Temporal trends in outcomes for mechanical thrombectomy for stroke: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized trials
CONCLUSION: Between 2012 and 2020, rates of good functional outcome and sICH increased, while rates of mortality remained consistent in RCTs investigating MT for AIS. Multiple factors likely influenced our results, including increased use of MT and utilization of adjunctive therapies alongside MT.PMID:36924270 | DOI:10.1177/15910199231158938

Evaluation of pure subarachnoid hemorrhage after mechanical thrombectomy in a series of 781 consecutive patients
CONCLUSION: We suggest that dual-energy computed tomography could better distinguish between blood and pure contrast stagnation. Still, SAH was not associated with an unfavorable outcome in stroke patients undergoing thrombectomy.PMID:36916147 | DOI:10.1177/15910199231163046
