Long Non-Coding RNA Nuclear-Enriched Abundant Transcript 1 (NEAT1) Represses Proliferation of Trophoblast Cells in Rats with Preeclampsia via the MicroRNA-373/FLT1 Axis.
CONCLUSIONS NEAT1 may contribute to PE development by regulating trophoblast cell proliferation and apoptosis. These findings may provide a new perspective for understanding the etiology and pathogenesis of PE. PMID: 33093438 [PubMed - in process]

Mixed Lineage Kinase Domain-Like Protein Promotes Human Monocyte Cell Adhesion to Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells Via Upregulation of Intercellular Adhesion Molecule-1 Expression.
CONCLUSIONS MLKL can promote THP-1 cell adhesion to HUVECs through up-regulation of ICAM-1 expression in HUVECs. Thus, MLKL might be a useful target for reducing adhesion of monocytes to endothelial cells and atherosclerosis. PMID: 32788571 [PubMed - in process]

Silencing of Long Non-Coding RNA (LncRNA) Non-Coding RNA Activated by DNA Damage (NORAD) Inhibits Proliferation, Invasion, Migration, and Promotes Apoptosis of Glioma Cells via Downregulating the Expression of AKR1B1.
CONCLUSIONS These findings demonstrated that NORAD silencing suppressed proliferation, invasion, and migration and boosted apoptosis of glioma cells via downregulating the AKR1B1 expression, which may provide a potential therapeutic target for glioma treatment. PMID: 32778640 [PubMed - in process]

The Effects of Interleukin-33 (IL-33) on Osteosarcoma Cell Viability, Apoptosis, and Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition are Mediated Through the PI3K/AKT Pathway.
CONCLUSIONS IL-33 was highly expressed in human osteosarcoma cells. Down-regulation of IL-33 reduced cell viability and EMT of osteosarcoma cells, and induced cell apoptosis through activation of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. PMID: 32312946 [PubMed - in process]

Long Non-Coding RNA (lncRNA) SNHG5 Participates in Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy for Type II Diabetes Mellitus by Regulating TGR5.
CONCLUSIONS By downregulating expression of the SNHG5 gene and then altering expression of the TGR5 gene, the damage to colorectal cells induced by high glucose was alleviated. This may be one of the mechanisms underlying the effect of sleeve gastric surgery in treatment of diabetes mellitus. PMID: 32242546 [PubMed - in process]
