Activation of Autophagic Flux Blunts Cardiac Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury
Conclusions: Induction of autophagy at the time of reperfusion is sufficient to mitigate myocardial reperfusion injury by reducing ROS and cell death. Maintenance of appropriate autophagic flux may emerge as a viable clinical therapy to reduce reperfusion injury in acute myocardial infarction.PMID:34111934 | DOI:10.1161/CIRCRESAHA.120.318601

Glutamyl-Prolyl-tRNA Synthetase Regulates Proline-Rich Pro-fibrotic Protein Synthesis During Cardiac Fibrosis.
Conclusions: Our results indicate that EPRS preferentially controls translational activation of proline codon rich pro-fibrotic genes in cardiac fibroblasts and augments pathological cardiac remodeling. PMID: 32611237 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

S1P-S1PR2 Axis Mediates Homing of Muse Cells into Damaged Heart for Long Lasting Tissue Repair and Functional Recovery After Acute Myocardial Infarction.
Conclusions: Muse cells may provide reparative effects and robust functional recovery, and may thus provide a novel strategy for the treatment of AMI. PMID: 29475983 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
