CONCLUSION: Acupuncture with Canggui Tanxue Technique on the Huantiao point provides superior pain reduction and functional restoration for patients with sciatica caused by lumbar disc herniation compared to routine techniques. Psychological symptom burden associated with malignant wounds: Secondary analysis of a prospective cohort study
This study used the secondary analysis of the results of a large prospective cohort study, which investigated the dying process among patients with advanced cancer in 23 palliative care units in Japan. The primary outcome of this study was the prevalence of moderate to severe psychological symptom burden, evaluated by the Integrated Palliative Care Outcome Scale (IPOS)-feeling at peace scores of 2-4. In addition, the factors affecting psychological symptoms were investigated. Encouraging outpatients in an acute hospital for the relief of cancer-related pain: a qualitative study
CONCLUSION: The process of relief and exacerbation of cancer-related pain experienced by outpatients in the acute care hospital reveals that the provision of consistent follow-up through remote or in-person interviews has an important role to play in pain management, as it helps to build relationships between patients and medical professionals.
