Effect of an homeopathic complex on fatty acids in muscle and performance of the Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus).
CONCLUSION: Nile tilapia juveniles that received the HomeoAqua Mega-3(®) in their diets had a decrease in the TL rates, mainly for the SFAs, and the n-6/n-3 ratio, compared with the control group, without any changes in the animal performance during the experimental period. Homeopathic Dilutions, Hahnemann Principles, and the Solvent Issue: Must We Address Ethanol as a "Homeopathic" or a "Chemical" Issue?
CONCLUSION:  Any author working with homeopathic dilutions containing a molar fraction of ethanol higher than 20% should take into account the fact that ethanol is cytotoxic and may be a catalyst to the formation of nanobubbles, and so should adjust the experimental approach accordingly. Effect of Homeopathic Medicines and a Nosode on Larvae of Cochliomyia hominivorax (Diptera: Calliphoridae).
CONCLUSIONS:  Results suggest that homeopathy could be used therapeutically to prevent and treat animals and humans with myiasis caused by C. hominivorax. PMID: 30836408 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Effect of a homeopathic complex on reproductive performance in a commercial pig farm.
In this study, the effect of a homeopathic complex on reproductive performance of sows under intensive farming has been investigated. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Over period of three years, 186 sows were recruited from a farm where a large proportion of animals were suffering from prolonged weaning-to-oestrus intervals (WEI) and weaning-to-service intervals (WSI). Sows were allocated to two groups; once per month, one group was given a homeopathic complex (Borax 10 mK plus Lycopodium 10 mK), while the other group was given a hydro-alcoholic solution (placebo). The follow-up period started one week before the expected date o...

Action of antibiotic oxacillin on in  vitro growth of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) previously treated with homeopathic medicines.
CONCLUSIONS: Cultures of MRSA treated with Belladonna or MRSA nosode exhibited reduced growth in vitro, reduced enzymatic activity and became more vulnerable to the action of the antibiotic oxacillin. Further studies are needed on the biomolecular basis of these effects. PMID: 28325220 [PubMed - in process]

Dynamized follicle-stimulating hormone affects the development of ovine preantral follicles cultured in vitro.
CONCLUSIONS: FSH 6cH (24 h) treatment maintained the viability, and promoted the activation and in vitro growth of ovine PFs. PMID: 23290878 [PubMed - in process]

Morpho-functional response of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) to a homeopathic complex.
CONCLUSION: The addition of Homeopatila 100(®) at a concentration 40 mL per kg/meal to the diet of juvenile Nile tilapias resulted in improved hepatocytes and intracellular glycogen levels as well as the lowest mean rate of branchial histological changes with an increase in acidic mucin-producing cells compared to neutral mucin-producing cells, compared to control. Investigation of the Origin of Voltage Generation in Potentized Homeopathic Medicine through Raman Spectroscopy.
CONCLUSION:  The experimental results indicate a correlation between the vibrational and electrical properties of the homeopathic medicines Acidum benzoicum and Chininum purum at different potencies. PMID: 30616251 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

An In-Vitro Assay Estimating Changes in Melanin Content of Melanoma Cells due to Ultra-Dilute, Potentized Preparations.
CONCLUSION:  The study demonstrated melanogenic effects of two homeopathic preparations. Further research to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of these medicines is warranted. PMID: 30836409 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

The Effect of Iodium 30c on Experimental Visceral Leishmaniasis.
CONCLUSION:  This original study has shown that Iodium 30c had significant impact in controlling parasite replication in experimental VL, though the effect was less than that using standard pharmaceutical treatment. PMID: 32823292 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Double-blind evaluation of homeopathy on cocaine craving: a randomized controlled pilot study
Conclusions A psychosocial rehabilitation setting improved recruitment but was not sufficient to decrease dropout frequency among Brazilian cocaine treatment seekers. Psychosocial rehabilitation plus homeopathic Q-potencies of opium and E. coca were more effective than psychosocial rehabilitation alone in reducing cocaine cravings. Due to high dropout rate and risk of bias, further research is required to confirm our findings, with specific focus on strategies to increase patient retention.

Liver injury: the therapeutic dilemma of homeopathy - a case report from Bangladesh
Ann Med Surg (Lond). 2023 May 22;85(7):3642-3645. doi: 10.1097/MS9.0000000000000918. eCollection 2023 Jul.ABSTRACTDespite the lack of scientific evidence supporting its effectiveness, homeopathic treatment is increasingly being used as a form of alternative medicine, with many people taking homeopathic remedies instead of drug therapies. It is based on the principle of 'like cures like', meaning that a remedy similar to the illness can be used to treat it. However, there have been several reports suggesting the risks of homeopathic remedies, among which homeopathy-induced liver injury is widely discussed. Here, we report a...
