Timing to out-of-bed mobilization and mobility levels of COVID-19 patients admitted to the ICU: Experiences in Brazilian clinical practice
CONCLUSION: Despite the pandemic scenario, patients were quickly mobilized out of bed, and most of the patients achieved higher mobility levels in the ICU and at hospital discharge. This pandemic is the most significant pandemic in over a century, since the 1918-1919 “Spanish” influenza pandemic resulted in approximately 500 million infections and 50 million deaths worldwide [2].

Conclusion: Rehabilitation in acute severe COVID-19 pneumonia is safe for subjects and healthcare workers, and could reduce the length of hospitalization stay, especially in those that may start early.
