Research Priorities in Prehabilitation for Patients Undergoing Cancer Surgery: An International Delphi Study
CONCLUSIONS: This collaborative international study identified the top 10 research priorities in prehabilitation for patients undergoing cancer surgery. The identified priorities inform research strategies, provide future directions for prehabilitation research, support resource allocation and enhance the prehabilitation evidence base in cancer patients undergoing surgery.PMID:37620526 | DOI:10.1245/s10434-023-14192-x

Exploring the delivery of remote physiotherapy during the COVID-19 pandemic: UK wide service evaluation
CONCLUSION: Remote physiotherapy was safe, feasible, and acceptable for those who accessed it. There were patients for which it was deemed unsuitable across clinical areas. In practice, it should be combined with in-person consultation based on patients' needs/preferences. Further research should explore post-pandemic maintenance of remote delivery.PMID:37610255 | DOI:10.1080/09593985.2023.2247069

Influence of home-based pulmonary rehabilitation program among people with interstitial lung disease: A pre-post study
CONCLUSION: Four weeks of home-based PR program, using minimal resources, deliver short-term improvements in functional exercise capacity and quality of life among ILD participants. Our home-based PR program resulted in a quarter percentage improvement in functional capacity, and we believe that if consistency is maintained, it will result in similar changes corresponding to the already established Minimal Clinically Important Difference (MCID) of 35 m.PMID:37603451 | DOI:10.1080/09593985.2023.2245878

Can language enhance physical therapists' willingness to follow Choosing Wisely recommendations? A best-worst scaling study
CONCLUSION: Physical therapists were more willing to follow recommendations that provided more detail, alternatives to low-value care, and were positively framed. These findings can inform the development of future Choosing Wisely recommendations and could help reduce low-value physical therapy.PMID:37597492 | DOI:10.1016/j.bjpt.2023.100534

What are the unsupervised exercise adherence rates in clinical trials for knee osteoarthritis? A systematic review
CONCLUSIONS: Clinical trials for knee OA do not consistently collect or report adherence with unsupervised exercise programs. Slightly more than half of the studies reported collecting adherence data while only 40.9% reported findings with substantial heterogeneity in tracking methodology. The clinical relevance of these programs cannot be properly contextualized without this information.PMID:37597491 | DOI:10.1016/j.bjpt.2023.100533

A case report: Pain in the hand and tingling of the upper limb may be a symptom of a schwannoma in the supraclavicular region
CONCLUSIONS: This case adds to the growing understanding of brachial plexus schwannomas and their diagnostic complexities. Our report underscores the significance of recognizing these tumors in patients with distinct symptomatology and highlights the need for detailed diagnostic assessments and surgical planning.PMID:37597433 | DOI:10.1016/j.ijscr.2023.108664
