The neuroprotective effect of Dl-3-n-butylphthalide in epileptic rats via inhibiting endoplasmic reticulum stress
CONCLUSIONS: NBP had a significant neuroprotective effect in EP rats. Large doses of NBP are more effective than low doses. The mechanism may be associated with the inhibition of ERS and ERS-mediated apoptosis.PMID:37587893 | DOI:10.5114/fn.2022.123516

Iminoboranes With Parent B=NH Entity: Imino Group Metathesis, Nucleophilic Reactivity and N-N Coupling
Chemistry. 2023 Aug 16:e202302494. doi: 10.1002/chem.202302494. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTWhile R2C=N-R double bonds in organic imines are well established, the related iminoboranes R-B=N-R are either prone to oligomerization or can only be stabilized at sufficient steric congestion. In particular, the examples of unsubstituted parent B=N-H entity are rare. We demonstrate that the amino imidazoline-2-imine ligand system (HAmIm) not only gives rise to the isolation of a parent (AmIm)B=N-H iminoborane, but also to species of type (AmIm)B=N-SiMe3 with concomitant stabilization by lithium bromide. The double bond character...

Charging Metal-Organic Framework Membranes by Incorporating Crown Ethers to Capture Cations for Ion Sieving
Angew Chem Int Ed Engl. 2023 Aug 15:e202309918. doi: 10.1002/anie.202309918. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTProtein channels on the biofilm conditionally manipulate ion transport via regulating the distribution of charge residues, making analogous processes on artificial membranes a hot spot and challenge. Here, we employ metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) membrane with charge-adjustable subnano-channel to selectively govern ion transport. Various valent ions are binded with crown ethers embedded in the MOF cavity, which act as charged guest to regulate the channels' charge state from the negativity to positivity. Compared wit...

Multifunctional electrolyte additive for realizing high-temperature and high-voltage lithium metal batteries
Chem Commun (Camb). 2023 Aug 15. doi: 10.1039/d3cc01670f. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTMethyl 1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-carboxylate (MTC) was added into lithium metal batteries as an electrolyte additive, and not only did this addition lead to formation of solid electrolyte interfaces to protect both the anode and cathode, but the added MTC also served as a Lewis base in removing HF from the electrolyte to prevent the electrolyte from deteriorating. Therefore, the addition of MTC, in an appropriate amount, can be very effective at improving the electrochemical performance of lithium metal batteries.PMID:37580999 | DOI:10.1039/d3cc01670f
