O-058 PPODA as a mechanically stable and biocompatible coating for endovascular stents and flow diverters
ConclusionPPODA polymer coatings can improve biocompatibility and prevent thrombosis on FDs and stents by pre-coating wires for braiding or post-coating laser-cut stent devices. Future work will compare coating integrity and biocompatibility to established devices (i.e Pipeline Shield® and Fred-X®). Materials like PPODA may provide FDs and stents with a mechanically stable scaffold coating that promotes continuous re-endothelialization over an aneurysm neck, which can eliminate thrombosis and reduce recanalization rates.Abstract O-058 Figure 1SH-PEG-Silane and PPODA bound to a nitinol wire surface. Reversible and multiphasic parenchymal changes in MRI after coil embolization for a ruptured cerebral aneurysm
CONCLUSION: Given her history of metal allergy, and the reversible and multiphasic lesions in the non-vascular territories of the treated aneurysm, metal allergic encephalitis was most likely despite no clear evidence.PMID:37151465 | PMC:PMC10159284 | DOI:10.25259/SNI_160_2023
