Vaccination coverage in children under one year of age and associated socioeconomic factors: maps of spatial heterogeneity
CONCLUSIONS: the results are useful for designing interventions regarding the structuring of vaccination services and the implementation of actions to increase vaccination coverage in clusters with less propensity to vaccinate.PMID:37729269 | DOI:10.1590/0034-7167-2022-0734

Biodistribution assessment of cationic pullulan nanogel, a nasal vaccine delivery system, in mice and non-human primates
Vaccine. 2023 Jun 27:S0264-410X(23)00754-5. doi: 10.1016/j.vaccine.2023.06.065. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTCationic cholesteryl-group-bearing pullulan nanogel (cCHP-nanogel) is an effective drug-delivery system for nasal vaccines. However, cCHP-nanogel-based nasal vaccines might access the central nervous system due to its close proximity via the olfactory bulb in the nasal cavity. Using real-time quantitative tracking of the nanogel-based nasal botulinum neurotoxin and pneumococcal vaccines, we previously confirmed the lack of deposition of vaccine antigen in the cerebrum or olfactory bulbs of mice and non-human primat...

Cryptogenic new-onset super-refractory status epilepticus following SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. A case report
CONCLUSION: It is crucial to report suspected adverse reactions associated with SARS-CoV-2 vaccination, thereby allowing continued monitoring of the risk/benefit ratio of vaccination.PMID:37303102 | DOI:10.33588/rn.7612.2022374

This study investigated whether taller Polish adults live longer than their shorter counterparts. Data on declared height were available from 848,860 individuals who died in the years 2004-2008 in Poland. To allow for the cohort effect, the Z-values were generated. Separately for both sexes, Pearson's r coefficients of correlation were calculated. Subsequently, one way ANOVA was performed. The correlation between adult height and longevity was negative and statistically significant in both men and women. After eliminating the effects of secular trends in height, the correlation was very weak (r = -0.0044 in men and ...
